Strengthening Collaboration Through Resumed Regional Visits
Following a short break during the intense wildfire season, the FSC® Türkiye National Representation has resumed its regional visits, starting from the Western Black Sea Region. The first round of visits included three key Regional Directorates of Forestry: Sinop, Giresun, and Amasya.
During these visits, the implementation of FSC Forest Management Certification was reviewed, field challenges and best practices were discussed, and valuable exchanges were held with regional teams regarding the mission and support provided by FSC at the national level. The meetings also highlighted FSC’s role in promoting sustainable forest management, while participants evaluated current progress and areas for further improvement.
Technical teams provided feedback on the field application of FSC standards, and opportunities for future technical cooperation were explored.
FSC Türkiye appreciates the dedication and hard work of the Regional Directorates that have been actively engaged in wildfire response efforts, and looks forward to continuing this valuable collaboration toward sustainable, resilient, and responsible forest management.
