Strengthening Collaboration with Türkiye’s FSC-Certified Forest Regions
As part of its 2025 engagement strategy, the newly established FSC® Türkiye National Representation has begun a series of introductory and technical visits to FSC Forest Management (FM) certificate holders across the country. Over the past two weeks, our team visited three key Regional Directorates of Forestry: Konya, Bolu, and Zonguldak.

These visits are a crucial step in building strong partnerships with regional forestry authorities and raising awareness about the mission, scope, and role of the FSC Türkiye office. During each meeting, we introduced our new national structure, shared insights into the global and national FSC systems, and held in-depth discussions on the FSC Forest Management certification standard and its implementation on the ground.

FSC Türkiye aims to support certified regions by offering ongoing technical dialogue, capacity-building opportunities, and a platform for knowledge sharing. Each regional visit provides valuable insights into field-level realities and strengthens our understanding of the challenges and achievements in sustainable forest management across Türkiye.

As one of the largest holders of FSC-certified forest areas in Europe, Türkiye plays a significant role in promoting responsible forest stewardship. These early visits mark the beginning of long-term collaboration between FSC Türkiye and Regional Directorates of Forestry as we work together to advance sustainability, transparency, and continuous improvement in forest management practices.
We extend our sincere thanks to the teams in Konya, Bolu, and Zonguldak for their warm hospitality, constructive dialogue, and ongoing commitment to responsible forestry.
